Celebrating the individuals and businesses at the forefront of innovation, the EG Awards held on 22 October 2019 in London rewarded leading lights in real estate for positive change, sustainable growth, financial performance and deal-making.

Knight Frank was there to scoop two leading awards, the Global Advisor of the Year and National Advisor of the Year, awarded for their clear vision for the transformative future of property.

According to Knight Frank South Africa Managing Director Susan Turner: "Over the course of 2018, Knight Frank's reach and global footprint has expanded exponentially over a range of high-profile deals and business acquisitions which produced a record year with a turnover of £148.4m - up by 6% on 2017. With an 11% market share, the valuations and advisory team grew Knight Frank revenue by 22%. It's a proud moment for the brand indeed."

Judge's comments on presentation of the awards highlighted how Knight Frank "demonstrated growth across all areas of the business and, over the course of 2018, grew its global footprint and reach across a range of high-profile deals and business acquisitions showing how it is preparing for the next generation."

Notable Knight Frank deals throughout the year include a 1m sq ft lease to Facebook at Moffett Towers 2 in California, a 700,000 sq ft prelet to JP Morgan Chase in Manilla, selling 55,000 sq kms of agricultural land in Australia, and providing occupational advisory services to Safaricom in Nairobi on the relocation of its 350,000 sq ft HQ campus.
