Lyndsay Child was Knight Frank's agent of the year for 2018 after having a very successful year at a time when the majoirty of agents were struggling. 2019 was a slow start for the market in Rondebosch but Lyndsay continued to list sole mandates at similair prices, attracting buyers but struggling to get pen to paper. The other struggle in a buyer's market is keeping your client happy when there are no offers being made despite every effort.

It is tempting to use another agency but 9 times out of 10, they will not bring anything new to the marketing of your property through Knight Frank. In this instance the client added four more agencies and Knight Frank sold the property. The buyer came through Property 24 and clicked our advert because the ad stood out with the professional photographs used.
After 17 years working in the industry and as advice to sellers, if your agent can prove that they are working hard for you and using all the resources available to them to sell your property, stick with them and work with them to get the property sold. Often it is the price but it can also just be bad timing.
