Boost for luxury house sales in Hout Bay

Category Hout Bay

Light at the end of the tunnel for another tough year in the Cape Town property market.

The Hout Bay team secured a number of sales in the last 6 months of 2019, 4 of which were concluded in one week. The star of the show however was agent Dion Oliveira who succeeded in selling one of the most expensive houses in 2019 within a 23 day period.

What were the key factors behind the success of this sale?

The client only approached Knight Frank due to its office location in Hout Bay, network of 523 offices in 60 countries and the professional standard properties are marketed. The added bonus that complimented the Knight Frank suite of services was the professional photography talent of Dion Oliveira who photographed the property beautifully, to capture its unique and exquisite location in Tierboskloof Security Estate.

Knight Frank presented a clear marketing strategy to the client at the outset which included local, national and international advertising, including a feature on Knight Frank's Global Instagram page.

Instantly the property attracted buyers from near and far with 3 sets of buyers viewing in one afternoon, secured that day by a couple from Austria. 6 parties looked at the property, 5 of which were international. An early start to the buying season for international buyers. Keen to be in by Christmas, it was a team effort between Knight Frank and Frank Holland & Associates to make this tight time frame work. We were successful.
